Today, Saturday 7 January 2023, marks the last day of my 101 Things in 1001 Days, AKA, 101 List. As mentioned in previously I abandoned the 101 List because of a variety of reasons, the pandemic, illness, change of job, etc… I am trying very hard not to focus on the negative, but to concerntrate on what I did achieve, which is not a lot but I thought I would share and finish the journey.

I have put the list below. I have marked in BOLD – Completed, Italics – Still in Progress or Progress made.

Self-Improvement/Well-Being

1.Throw-out/Donate/Sell everything I have not used/worn/need this is always in progress.

  1. Re-decorate My Bedroom – Completed 14 June 2020
  2. Meditate once a day – Completed I always makesure I do this.
  3. Learn a new meditation technique – Completed Mindfulness Meditation and Walking Meditation. I now know three techniques including Breathing Meditation.
  4. Break a bad habit – Completed – I don’t want to share what it was but I have done it.
  5. Sort out the loft – Completed October 2020
  6. Organise and update personal preparedness every 6 to 12 months – (which should work out to 5 times during this challenge) Completed 5/5
  7. Go to the Dentist – March 2022
  8. Go to the Opticians – Completed March 2021 (I have a nice pair of glasses now)
  9. Have a professional facial or massage

Health and Fitness

I have completed nothing under this section, this will be moving over to my new list for 2023, with a few changes.

  1. Lose Weight – (I need to work out exactly how much for healthy/ideal weight)
  2. Drop 4 Dress Sizes – its all about losing the inches
  3. Close Exercise Ring on Apple Watch everyday for a month
  4. Go running at least once early in the morning – Before 7 am
  5. Run 2.5k
  6. Run 5k
  7. Improve Core Strength – Plank, Sit-ups etc… – I will update this on the Health and Fitness Posts
  8. Tone Arms – This means completing arm exercises
  9. Complete Yoga 30 day challenge
  10. Buy and fit into a pair of size 14 (UK) jeans

Food and Cooking

  1. Start eating breakfast again – since I have been ill, I have not been able to eat breakfast and I miss it. – I don’t eat breakfast everyday but I do a few times a week.
  2. Make my own hummus
  3. Make Dolewhips – loved these in Disney World
  4. Have a picnicSummer 2022
  5. Make a confectionary/cake house
  6. Make pancakes for breakfast one morning
  7. Try 5 new recipes – 1) Lancashire Hot Pot 2) Meatballs (Italian) 3) Chow Mein (Chinese) 4) Gyros (Greece) 5) Bombay Potato’s (Indian)
  8. Try to make foods from 5 different countries (English, Mexican and Italian are not included as I do these all the time) 5/5 – This was interesting. I experimented with Greek, Arabic, Chinese, Thai and French dishes.

Books and Reading

  1. Read 101 (new) books – these are books I have not read before – 101/101 – If you go to my Reading Corner, I have a list on Goodreads of all the books.
  2. Complete a Reading Challenge – Going to do the Ultimate Book challenge from the Day Zero Website – Starting 1 May 2020 – I have not checked this so I am going to presume I have not completed this
  3. Read an Agatha Christie novel
  4. Read all the books on my to read shelf – as it looks from the end of April 2020 (I will post a list) – nope still got them to read.
  5. Find 15 (new) authors – authors I have never read before – 15/15 – so many new authors discovered.

Writing and Blogging

  1. Complete NaNoWriMo again
  2. Complete a Blog Challenge – on all blogs – LuluBy Place & Reading Corner AtoZ April Challenge 2021 2/4
  3. Enter a writing competition
  4. Have something I have written published – September 2020 (Landscaping News)
  5. Write 10 short stories – each one in a different genre
  6. Finish my fantasy book project – working title (Mark of a King)
  7. Blog at least once a week on all Blog Sites – well this didn’t happen

Art/Crafts/Photography

  1. Finish Sleeping Beauty’s Tower – (this has been on every list for the past 10 years or more.) – It is nearly finished.
  2. Take a photo everyday for the 1001 days – This got boring so I gave up.
  3. Create a portfolio of card designs
  4. Create a portfolio of art work
  5. Create a portfolio of Miniature Creations
  6. Up-cycle Craft Cupboard – Completed 30/06/2020
  7. Complete a self-portrait

Finances and Chariety

Nothing in this one has been properly completed, apart from the pension. It is something I am going to work on during 2023.

  1. Be completely Debt Free at the end of 1001 days
  2. Have a decent emergency fund
  3. Have 3 no spend months during the 1001 days 1/3 – March 2021
  4. Organise my pension plans – November 2021
  5. Set up a monthly direct debit for a chariety
  6. Host/Participate in a Charity Event – might be participating in the Three Peak Challenge

Career/Business

  1. Complete 3 Course for Continuous Professional Development
  2. Join a Guild (there are a few crafting guilds, I need to look into)
  3. Set up Two Etsy Shops – Set up has been completed, selling on one and not on the other.
  4. Finish my degree
  5. Learn a new skill that will help with either business or career

Spiritual

  1. Read the Bible over a year (again)
  2. Complete a list of Personal and Family Study Activites – Completed
  3. Start a new bible study notebook – started April 2020
  4. Update Study Bible with I-pad notes every month
  5. Send Year Text Boxes out – 2020 / 2021 / 2022 / 2023
