Accidently posted this yesterday thinking I was a day behind… oops!! Apologies if you have read it twice x
My theme for the Blogging from A to Z April Challenge is – Places I Have Been. After some contemplation I decided to limit it to Places I Have been in the UK, this is because I have been to far more places in the UK and have very limited experience of places outside of the UK. I hope you enjoy my post.

Exbury Gardens
No matter where we are in the country, we always appear to find our way to a garden. On one of our holidays to the New Forest we found ourselves at a bit of a loose end and ended up at Exbury Gardens for the best part of the day. There are loads of things to see and do here. You can walk through the grounds, admire the gardens and my favourite, ride on a steam train… woo woo!!

Unfortunately, I am unable to find my photos of the time we spent there, but it was towards the end of summer so the leaves were starting to change into their autumn splendour. Exbury’s glorious gardens were designed and curated by the de Rothschild family, who started designing the building in 1919. It is truly a wonder to behold.
As I mentioned earlier one of my favourite experiences was a ride on the steam train. Now it is not a giant steam train, like the Hogwarts Express. It is cute. The train however takes you round to parts of the garden that you are unable to walk around. Besides the train there are lots of other activities and loads of things to see, including Exbury Hall. I remember seeing the outside of the house, but I cannot remember if the hall is open to visitors. I have tried to research it but for what I can tell it isn’t.
