The last time I wrote a Health and Fitness post was back in February and I was feeling a little low, as I had to give up going to ballet. Since then over the past 10 weeks or so, I have been very up and down with my health. I am not sure if it is a collection of virus’s or the same virus’s coming and going. Either way it has not been fun. Last week I also had a bad stomach and very bad stomach cramps which lasted for days, nearly the whole week. I am hoping that once the weather warms up, I will start feeling better.
Due to these weird random illnesses I have not done a lot in the way of exercise, apart from walk. When I am at work I have so far succeeded in taking two lunch time walks. This is not due to a lack of inclination, but rather due to the weather. Last week we had torrential rain on the three days I was at work. Typical. My office is now up on the first floor so I have stairs to climb. On the days I have not been able to get out for a walk. I have been trying to ensure I take several trips up and down the stairs. Where possible about once an hour, so I also get a stretch away from the desk.
Plans
WOLF RUN TRAINING – I am looking at completing this in the Autumn of 2024 now as my fitness levels are very low due to illness. I am hoping to start training again soon.
Goals
My goals for 2023 remain the same. I have added no new ones for now.
- Lose weight (as always)
- Get fitter (same)
- Complete the Wolf Run (autumn 2024)
- Carry on with controlled breathing and meditation in mornings (or evenings)
June Goals
Lunch Time Walks – Twice a week
Healthy Breakfast/Snack – if cannot face breakfast
Buy a Sad Step (weighing scales)
Evening Work Out – I need to incorporate a workout into my life and evenings are looking like the best time at the moment either Pilates or Yoga.
