“Dance like no one is watching .”

Welcome to my new Health, Fitness & Weight loss blog series – Seven Months of Change

“Seven Months of Change” is my personal journey to lose 50lb in seven months. Each week I will share honest updates – the wins, the struggles, the lessons – along with tips on food, fitness and motivation (hopefully). This is not about quick fixes, but about building lasting change, one week at a time.

I am so excited to be sharing my first update for Seven Months of Change even if it is just a quick one. I did intend to post weekly but I on a Wednesday evening for the past few weeks, I have been in a Zumba class. I not very good at it but I am trying. This week I went on Monday which is why I am able to post tonight, next week, I won’t be able to attend on a Wednesday so I will have to either find another class or do an extra gym/swim session.

The Plan

This is the structure I am following:

  • Nutrition: A balanced meal plan (high protein, lots of veg, reasonable portions, minimal junk).
  • Exercise: A mix of strength training and cardio, with daily walks.
  • Tracking: Weekly weigh-ins, progress photos and monthly reflections.
  • Mindset: Using milestones, checklists, and motivational guides.

Currently this is going well, apart from the tracking part. Besides tracking my workout sessions on my Apple watch I keep forgetting to weigh myself, & take photos. I did weigh myself at the start and most recently last week, so far I have lost about 6lbs which is promising. I just have to keep up the exercise.

I also finally managed to speak to a Doctor after weeks of trying about my blood tests, and I am still very anaemic. I have been prescribed iron tablets and have to contact the Doctor again in 6 to 8 weeks for further blood tests. I am hoping the extra iron will help me feel less tired and out of breath.

Final Thoughts

Next week will be the end of month I am going to give a more detailed update, and share the plans and goals for October.

Hope you have a good week.

Toodles x
