I did it. I completed the A to Z Challenge during April on this blog – lulubyplace. My theme was – Places I have been. I made the decision to stick to places I have been in the UK, well England and Wales. Even though I have ventured out of England, it is limited and there is no way I could squeeze out 26 places. Keeping it strictly to the UK helped me focus.
Places I have been – I am so glad I chose this as my theme, despite being a little unprepared. I expected to have a bit more time in April but as usual life gets in the way. I had recently changed laptops and stored my photos away, which meant I couldn’t find some of the photos I needed for the blog posts. Despite this and the need to resort to google, I feel as though the challenge went well. I received some lovely comments on my posts and I have had the opportunity to meet (virtually) some new people. It was also nice to share some of my favourite places with others and revisit some forgotten memories. It has also made me realise that since the Lockdown happened, I have hardly been anywhere, so I need to get out and about again.
At the moment I am still visiting other bloggers challenges. Even though I do visit during the challenge, I like to go back when the challenge has been completed and read all their challenge posts. I have had a few issues leaving comments on some of the blogs. WordPress have updated to an app called Jet Pack, and I have had a few issues but I am sure that the glitches will be ironed out soon. Also, some of the blogs hosted on blogger, have not allowed comments. I am not sure what the issue was there, I have checked my settings etc… and everything appears okay. I will revisit though and see if I can leave a ‘congratulations’ comment for them.
Besides LulubyPlace I have three other blogs which I also decided to complete the challenge on:
Lulubys Reading Corner – THEME – Murder/Mystery and Crime (books & authors)
Disney Dust and Pixar Tales – THEME – The Avengers (Characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe)
Life in the Lantern – THEME – Musicals (Movies)
Unlike the challenge I am not going to complete separate Reflection Posts for each blog, as they would all say the same. It was a great April, met some lovely people and wish I had been more prepared.
If you are one of the organisers of the challenge and you just happen to be reading this. Thank you for creating, and continuing the April A to Z Challenge. I am not sure I can verbalise how much I enjoy participating and meeting other bloggers.
